I love the story of this game.
Sounds like a fun adventure, a hobo who lived on the streets and then got abducten by aliens and now has to find his way out of their spaceship and escape.

When I played the game however I had no clue of this, As I just saw a wizard in a platformer.
It would have greatly improved this game for me if you added the intro story of this game before the game starts.
The platforming in this game is playable and has good points, some blocks disappear, there are different kinds of enemies. However I found myself very frustrating, as I barely had a moment to just catch a breath and observe my environment. In the beginning the blocks immideately disappear and when I pass the first door I constantly get attacked by enemies
and also a new circle enemy that I never got too understand.

After a certain amount of frustation I couldn't help but quite the game unfortunately.
That being said I think this game could be a lot of fun. What if the platforming would start out easy with just save blocks and passing doors then later on you introduce the disappearing blocks, and then enemies? And you kept giving small story pieces every so many progressions. This way I would be able to enjoy this game and its story way more!

TreehouseINC responds:

Thank you, this is a lost project of mine and if i were to go back and alter it i would have implemented the story a thousand times better and refined all the enemies and such. All the faults in the level design and platforming are things i must have not thought through and play-tested those years ago. But i'm glad you enjoyed it!

suck dude, make better games!

UltimoGames responds:

I hope you'll get fruggled often

I liked it, completed the Demo in 1 go.
Wanted to continue to atleast kill 1 guy.
Digged the music and sfx.
Game reminds me a bit of : https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/701744
But I liked this one more and think it would do better once you finish the game.

As in Interstate Drifter. You are really good at the minuteae details like pickups. I think you could win a lot of time if you instead focused on the important points first such as basic level design and enemy progression. Then once you got that add some pickups. Currently pickups don't seem to have a function.

UltimoGames responds:

too much ambition, too much ideas. Got to focus on completing games first. Thanks for the review Sabooo

I believe this got a fantastic game hidden beneath it that you were not able to fully get out.
Solid game design, clear goal and different obstacles as you progress.
But you have to work on it to dig out that diamond.

2 Major improvement points
- Gotta work on your difficulty curve. At the level with the moving enemies. You introduced new obstacle, but don't give the player time to learn how to deal with it.
Next level there is already a new obstacle, heck not even one, two!
Too fast mate. Introduce your new obstacles slower and give player time to learn how to deal with it by spreading them over multiple levels.

- Work on your game juice, look here to get a start:

HarkOfEric responds:

Thank you Sabooo, what do you think I could do to make the player learn how to deal with the obstacles? In every level appears a new obstacles, the walls, the moving enemies, shooters, keys and doors, and more. And my idea is just make 2 levels for each object. What do you think? Send me private message to answer. I know that it has a fantastic game hidden, It's not the first time I hear something like that, but I'm very new at creating videogames, that's the first game I publish, thats why I can't found that diamond.

Naught boys all together
this was a great combination of desire for lust with a puzzle game.
I completed all story paths and that's special for me to ever complete a game in one go.

Puzzles felt very well balanced didn't get frustrated by them causing me to quit the reward.
Well done on difficulty balancing.
Quit after discovered all story paths.

Don't have any improvement. Make more :)
5/5

PoliuxDimension responds:

Glad you complete my game, I'm in development of next game, which might not be as easy as this one. And this time it's a totally different type of game.

Great game. Love to discover new areas and obstacles and finding out how to deal with them.
This makes me want to continue playing. However everytime I lost I had to restart from the beginning.
I think that is killing the experience most now is:
When you lose you have to restart from the beginning. Which means you have to redo all the parts you already knew over and over again which quickly gets me frustrated. Either add checkpoints or make the levels shorter. So the fun experience maintains.

Really good game. Super adorable, sound super cute, story super cute.
I'd say the game seems like it was designed to give the player an experience of cute.
Only get 4 stars, because the controls soon frustrated me. Would much prefer just mouse control for everything. Such that I can focus more on the cute and less on the controls.
Even the gameplay feels good, at some point I got stuck on the white curtains and couldn't move anymore that's a bug I believe.

CrounchyBrothers responds:

Thank you Sabooo!
Seems like our game is an ode to cuteness according to your feedback ^^
I understand your position and feeling about the platformer controls (jumping etc..), but we talked to Mileo (the main character) and he say that he will be humiliated to be controlled by a mouse... You know how susceptive can be those little kittens ;)
I think we fixed the bug you mention it'll be ok in the next update!

My god this is some excellent writing KungFuSpaceBarbarian!

You’re too kind ;)

Good concept ajithcage. Once I understood the gameplay it is quite addicting. Also the basic music is nice.
Game Design:
#1 It's not clear enough what the gameplay is, after a while I thought the gameplay is, click on the screen to avoid colliding with monsters. But when you explain it this is not immediately clear. It seemed to me like I could just have a black screen all the time. This way I never lose. Perhaps you could make it so that when you close your eyes when there is nothing scary you get damaged (when you walk with your eyes closed you will bump onto something).

#2 There is no clear ending

Even though this is a prototype, this is insane dude. It is absolutely invested with bugs.
#1 sometimes when I click on the screen it stays black and doesn't go back to normal anymore
#2 the base music plays, but then many different audios play over each other, and I had to mute my tab because It got so annoying.

PS: Awesome that you used Game Maker, Game Maker is awesome.

ajithcage responds:

Thank you for your feed back Saboo . Sorry for bugs, i will fix this in the next update :)
